Root Canal Treatment
Our Root Canal Treatment Process
Comprehensive Examination: During your initial consultation, our experienced dentists will perform a thorough examination of the affected tooth, including X-rays to assess the extent of the damage and determine if root canal treatment is necessary.
Local Anesthesia: Before beginning the procedure, we’ll administer local anesthesia to ensure your comfort throughout the treatment process.
Access and Cleaning: We’ll create a small opening in the crown of the tooth to access the infected or damaged pulp. Using specialized instruments, we’ll carefully remove the diseased tissue and clean and disinfect the root canals to eliminate bacteria and debris.
Filling and Sealing: Once the root canals are thoroughly cleaned, we’ll fill them with a biocompatible material called gutta-percha to support the tooth structure and prevent recontamination. The opening in the crown will then be sealed with a temporary or permanent filling to protect the tooth from further infection.
Restoration: In some cases, a dental crown may be recommended to restore the strength, function, and appearance of the tooth following root canal treatment. Our custom crowns are designed to blend seamlessly with your natural teeth for a beautiful and long-lasting result.
Benefits of Root Canal Treatment:
- Pain Relief: Root canal treatment effectively alleviates tooth pain caused by infection or inflammation, allowing you to enjoy a comfortable and pain-free smile.
- Tooth Preservation: By removing the infected tissue and sealing the root canals, root canal treatment helps save the natural tooth from extraction and preserves your oral health and function.
- Prevention of Further Complications: Root canal treatment prevents the spread of infection to surrounding teeth and tissues, reducing the risk of more serious dental problems..
